NOTE: David buys, sells and trades Lionel, Marklin and all types and vintages. Give him a call if your looking to buy or sell.
History: Watch your step!! When you first walk into David's train room, you have to step over three tracks on the floor that go completely around the 14 foot by 24 foot room. You also almost have to duck under the three overhead tracks that surround the room. And then you see the 9 1/2 foot by 16 foot table layout.
Some specifics:
David has been laying track for 25 years. He has his original train and still runs his first HO. He has assembled a large collection over the years and continues to be very active on the buy/sell side of the hobby. His train rooms are packed. Beside the main room, he has his HO room, a complete fix-it repair room, a storage room and some boxes even spill over into the bathroom. Below his main layout table he runs G scale on several tracks, as well as O gauge. Around the room on the floor, he operates his big engines, one of which hauls 37 coal hoppers. His 3 track ceiling layout also runs around the full room and gives the viewer a unique perspective from the stairs entering the main room.
All four walls of the main room hold double track display units. When asked how many engines he has, he "said 50 or 60." we think they probably number 100 or more, plus abundant rolling stock and a nice collection of accessories and scenic units.
